About the day

Oman's National Day is held on 20 November. Sultan Haitham bin Tarik set the date in a royal proclamation on 11 January 2025, and 2025 was the first National Day held on 20 November. Before that it was marked on 18 November.

It is a public holiday for the public and private sectors. The days off are set each year by royal order and can move: in 2025 the holiday was given on 26 and 27 November.

Some older calendars still list 18 November.
