About the day
Yom Kippur falls ten days after Rosh Hashanah and is spent in fasting, prayer and reflection. Many Jewish people who are not otherwise observant attend synagogue on this day, so it is a poor date for events or campaigns aimed at Jewish audiences. Dates follow the Hebrew calendar. Jewish festivals begin at sunset the evening before the first date shown.
