Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day) is held on 28 May each year. WASH United initiates and coordinates it, and the first MH Day in 2014 had 155 partners.
It now has more than 1,500 partners. Instead of a yearly theme it works under one long-term mission, Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld, and in 2026 the campaign ran from 29 April to 10 June.
It suits period product and personal care brands, women's health firms, schools, water and sanitation charities, retailers and employers.
