About the day

The President has designated January each year since 2010 to raise awareness of human trafficking. Federal agencies including the Administration for Children and Families, the Department of Homeland Security Blue Campaign and the State Department publish toolkits and run events. DHS also marks National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, known as Wear Blue Day, on 11 January.
