About the day
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month was established in Britain in 2008 to challenge prejudice and recognise these communities' contribution to society. Charities including Friends, Families and Travellers and the Traveller Movement produce resources for it. It covers Showmen and Boaters as well.
