About the day
National Ketchup Day falls on 5 June each year in the United States. It is an informal food day with no single organiser.
Restaurants and sauce makers use the date for tie-ins. In 2018, Sobelman's Pub and Grill in Milwaukee gave away bottles of its Jalapeño Ketchup with burgers, and in 2025 a condiment brand marked the day by publishing a consumer survey on ketchup habits.
The day suits condiment and sauce brands, burger and fast food restaurants, grocery retailers, food delivery services and recipe publishers.
