About the day
AsIAm, Ireland's autism charity, marks April as World Autism Month. It describes the aim as a more inclusive Ireland where Autistic people have equal opportunity to thrive.
In April 2026 the programme included the Same Chance Survey 2026, which gathered views on the next National Autism Strategy, the Same Chance Walk on 12 April in Dublin and Galway, and a schools webinar on 17 April.
Employers, schools and local groups can use the month to learn about autism and to support Autistic colleagues, pupils and neighbours.
