About the day
Arab Volunteer Day falls on 15 September each year. It is marked by the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities, which was founded in 2003 through a Qatari initiative, has its headquarters in Doha and now has 19 Arab member countries.
In 2026 the federation's main ceremony in Doha ran under the theme "Honoring Giving, Celebrating Impact". It honoured 100 volunteers and presented the Dr. Kazem Nouri Volunteering Award, while member organisations in other Arab countries held their own volunteer events.
